This senior Data Engineer role sits inside an ongoing engagement for an EU institution client, on-site in Luxembourg. The focus is building and operating the data pipelines that feed reporting and analytics for the institution.
What you'll be doing
- Build and operate ETL/ELT pipelines feeding reporting and analytics
- Model data for downstream BI and statistical use
- Monitor pipeline health and fix data-quality issues at the source
- Work with analysts to expose clean, documented datasets
Tech environment Python/SQL, Airflow or an equivalent orchestrator, a cloud data warehouse (Azure/AWS), CI/CD.
What we're looking for
- 7+ years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Strong SQL and at least one scripting language (Python preferred)
- Experience with pipeline orchestration and cloud data platforms
- Comfortable working under a freelance contract
